Project Vishnu: India’s Hypersonic Missile Revolution 🚀

In the 21st century, speed is power. 🔹 What is Project Vishnu?

Project Vishnu is India’s ambitious program to develop indigenous hypersonic weapons. It focuses on both offensive missiles and defensive interceptors, powered by advanced scramjet engine technology.

The goal is to make India self-reliant in one of the most advanced military technologies in the world.

🔹 Key Breakthrough: ET-LDHCM Test (July 2025)

In July 2025, DRDO successfully tested the Extended Trajectory Long Duration Hypersonic Cruise Missile (ET-LDHCM).

  • Speed: Mach 8 (8 times the speed of sound)

  • Range: 1,500 km+

  • Engine: Indigenous scramjet technology

  • Launch platforms: Land, air, and sea-based

This test marked a historic milestone for India, proving our ability to sustain long-duration hypersonic flight.
