India is steadily building a wall of protection in the skies, and at the heart of this mission lies Project Kusha – also called the Extended Range Air Defence System (ERADS). Developed by our very own DRDO (Defence Research and Development Organisation), this system isn’t just another weapon; it’s a bold step toward making India truly invincible.

🌐 What is Project Kusha?

Project Kusha is designed to act as India’s sky shield, capable of detecting and destroying threats long before they can touch our land. From stealth fighters and enemy drones to cruise missiles and precision-guided weapons, Kusha promises to be India’s answer to the world’s most advanced aerial challenges.

🚀 Power of Interceptor Missiles

The system will be equipped with multiple interceptor missiles to handle different levels of threats:

  • 150 km range – For medium-range aerial threats.

  • 250 km range – To stop long-distance targets.

  • 350 km range – To eliminate high-value threats at extended ranges.

This layered defence means India can strike incoming enemies at multiple distances, giving our Air Force unmatched flexibility.

👁️ Eye in the Sky – Advanced Radars

One of Kusha’s strongest features will be its advanced radar systems. These radars can detect threats from far away, track them in real time, and guide interceptor missiles with pinpoint accuracy. In modern warfare, where seconds decide victory or loss, Kusha will give India the edge.

🤝 Integration with the Indian Air Force

The system isn’t built to work alone. Kusha will integrate directly with the IAF’s command and control network, meaning it can work hand-in-hand with fighters, drones, and other defence systems. This ensures a coordinated and lightning-fast response in any conflict.
